Verizon | The Reset

It’s a gamer’s dream come true to write a short film as an homage to gaming favorites — except for the lag, though the graphics were fun to create. Because for gamers this is real, everyday life, we want to help them respawn in an unlagged world with 5G.

Directed by Doug Liman (Swingers, Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow).
Shot by Hoyte van Hoytema (Interstellar, Dunkirk, Tenet).
Graphics by MPC.

Some other things we did:

Art installation right outside the Verizon store in Union Square, NYC. Look at all that IRL lag we’re fighting.

Once we had their attention, we showed what 5G can do for gamers on social media with emoji puzzles: decipher the game and win a treasure chest stocked to the brim with loot (AKA in-game codes, high-powered computer accessories, and way more).

Google also interviewed us.
